Hi guys! As you may have noticed, things are going on with Dream right now, and we’re going to be delving heavily into his arc over the next couple of weeks! Here are some important upcoming dates to tick off on your calendars if you are interested:

On March 23 and March 27 a couple of low-key mini-events based off of this one will go up! You don't need to have jumped the first one to participate in these, and if you miss one of the new ones, they should be tied together enough that you'll still get most of the content (and we'll summarize what won't cross over OOC if necessary.) The plot-relevant information from these events will also be ICly available in the library afterwards.

On March 28 there will be a Dream game starting at 5 PM PST/8 PM EST (with mingle going up an hour beforehand) based on confronting fears (and Dream's specifically) and helping to decide what to do with his heart! The game will last 3-4 hours and in the unlock afterwards, we'll post an OOC poll of options we've taken from the game and a thread for Dream to discuss with people and explain more of what steps have been taken in the past - you can use that space to help your character choose how they'll vote, thread with Dream, or add custom options to the poll. These will both run until March 31.

On April 1, Dream’s heart will be released and a post will go up to interact with it. Enjoy that for a while. :')

Further plot events/details for that development will go up when more relevant, but this is also a notice that the weekend of May 29-31 will be Aather’s last round of character-run heart games -- if you’ve ever wanted to do one for your character, this is your last chance! A potential (optional!) theme to consider may involve parts of a whole separating or coming together, but follow your dreams, folks.

HI AATHER IT ME AGAIN WITH THREE THINGS

- The newest IC bulletin summarizing the salient plot points of the past few weeks is up here with handy-dandy reference links! HOORAY.

- Following Zen's meeting, it looks like people have been variously assigned to speak with Personae and get more information about them/enlist their help, and that recording what comes up during talks with them would be ideal! If you have such an assignment, I'd like to ask that you please record info in the comprehensive IC Persona information doc going forward, so that we have all the IC records in one handy location for easy consumption!

If your character is not yet aware this resource exists you can definitely ICly handwave their having bullied Waver Velvet into telling them where it is/making him do the writing for them, but OOCly I can't track every thread that happens in Aather and would prefer that players update the sheet themselves!

- Quest help! As stated in the bulletin, Waver has a quest from Maleficent to install a magical thing in the library that will recite things for people who don't know how to/can't read! The quest is to ask five people to lend their voices to the library for twenty-four hours (the characters will be ICly mute during this period.) If you would like to help with that thing in the near future please drop a comment to this post and let me know if you want to thread out Waver making the request, or just handwave it! Either way I'll work out a good IC day for people to be mute on and let you know.

Just FYI, we'll be trying to wrap up the plot event by Saturday night! Thus, we won't be starting any fresh threads per se at this point, but we will be handwaving. Anyone who wanted to participate but didn't have time this week, don't worry - all you need to do is:

1) read the toplevel flavortext in the link above so you understand what "my character would have been there for this" means
2) figure out whether you want a psychological or physical encounter and how you would've wanted it to go, with or without other players if you decide on a group - "Bob and Jane would've done physical combat, Jane is a heavy lancer and Bob shoots things," for example
3) comment here before 11:59EST Saturday 12/20 with the aforementioned thing you figured out, to get a comment explaining what your character(s) would've encountered!

YOU SHOULD PROBABLY GET THAT SETTLED BEFORE KISSING GAME IF YOU'RE INTERESTED just because kissing will surely occupy us all. Please comment here or to the mod plurk that'll go up for questions/assistance with doing so! ♥

Hi again, all! As you know, there were some announcements of a plotty nature and a discussion post last night. The discussion section is excellent and so far we've noted down "possibly sending a message to the Prince" and "doing something about all the stone bits in the woods" as action items. Please keep discussing - we're excited to pursue those and would love to see more!

In the meantime, we'd like to draw attention to the available quests section, where characters can help protect their spaces from the next darkness attack. There's a lot of fun, handwaveable stuff in there that people might not have had a chance to glance over yet, including:

• memory sharing
• secret sharing
• hurting yourself
• talking about your feelings
• beating up monsters
• forming a temporary idol group, singing a lot about hope, and kissing people
• generally stregthening Mal, as she is standing in for Beauty right now!

We're pretty sure a lot of you are interested in at least one of those things, so this post is to make it easy for you to oocly consider/discuss what your team or character might be doing and how much of it you want onscreen, without burning yourselves out during the weekend. It has headers! The quest list will be updated when more Personae add on to it. If everyone can finalize what (if anything) they're doing by 11:59 PM EST, Sunday it'd be awesome and helpful and we'd love you forever.

Honestly I just wanted to tell all of you to go be idols. Get on that, Aather.

HI FOLKS, just reminding everyone that the plot event is still up! We will continue running that for the rest of the week. If your character participated, note that after Midafternoon Day 415 they will be subject to status effects lasting 1-2 IC days; numbness or a dead feeling where they touched something they shouldn't have, greyed-out vision if they looked somewhere inadvisable, and even some (unimportant) body bits turned to stone.

(Also, there are small petrified patches and one large petrified patch scattered through the woods where the doors were opened, if anyone feels like being creeped out by some rock.)

A discussion post which includes some explanations for the attack is also available for your character to dig into their trauma at your convenience! Please feel free to have your character jump in to take on a quest to protect the realm from the next darkness incursion.

SPEAKING OF WHICH, THE NEXT DARKNESS EVENT is going to be starting on Monday, December 15. BE THERE OR BE... SMART.

Hi Aather! As you know from the announcement tag and Storytime, things have been happening and should continue to be happening! In the aftermath of your trauma we bring you an announcement of upcoming event dates - please save Tuesday, December 9th and Monday, December 15th for further plot which will bring the heroes into contact with the encroaching Darkness yet again, in subtler ways than an all-out battle. These events will be easy to play with throughout the week whether your character is a combatant or not, so we encourage anyone who's interested in some status effects to come learn more about the current plot there!

Heroes who wanted to take initiative to engage with or defend against the darkness in a more directed way (such as those who expressed interest here) will also have opportunities to approach individual Personae and follow up on that! It's our hope that Personae who want to do things & heroes who want to do things will communicate ICly and OOCly to find what's most fun for you, though trips outside of the current safely held ground probably won't be wise till Beauty gets back. We encourage everyone to get out there and make things happen!

HEY DOOMTOFU AND FRIENDS. The end of the Dog's quest is now in the timeline! For those who didn't know, some of the Dog's story got revealed either directly or indirectly in this quest. Everyone please come see them crying.

HELLO, AATHER! AATHER, HELLO. Ellie, Sera and I come bearing updates for some character resources that have always been ICly/OOCly publicly available to all, but for whatever reasons have faded from visibility and fallen out of date! GUESS WHAT: they're (mostly) not out of date anymore, and now we are dragging them back out for you to behold in all their glory. It has been a busy week.

☼ First things first, the plot info and artifacts section of the Library Catalogue has been updated! These records are publicly available to all and include very detailed histories of all Aather events to date, references, plot maps and ongoing puzzle bits, and memories/records regained from plot events. Waver has been putting helpful sticky notes and signs on everything ICly because he is a jerk like that! It is all there for newbies and oldbies alike to peruse and work with.

☼ The old IC Persona Compilation List has been brought completely up to date! It includes all Personae that have been seen, what they look like, when they were last around (for ease, there are 'CURRENTLY ACTIVE'/'CURRENTLY INACTIVE' tabs), and all the relevant realm/plot/game info for each Persona you can stand. Non-Personae plot figures like the Darkness, the Chorus, and our new NPC are also on there for ease of reference. NOTE: For the 'Status' column, we went with the most recent post under each Persona's character tag -- if they've actually been active past that point and you just missed tagging posts please note the correction under 'Further Additions'!

☼ They're linked up there in the library catalogue too, but the comprehensive Plot History docs are being brought slowly up to date! ICly, these should be available for all realms; OOCly, Beauty's Forest, Three's Cove, and Wonderland are now as comprehensive and complete as we can make them, and Camelot and the Black Woods are in the rough draft stage but will be available soon if we have anything to say about it.

☼ At least semiregular IC reporting of mysterious happenings and plot bulletins is going to be a thing! Aather always has a full calendar for driving forth plot on plot; Waver is keeping busy by putting up regular reports on interesting encounters on the ICly visible Bulletin Board (this one is the first) and will keep encouraging other characters to do likewise or even just let him know so he can do the writing for them and keep the community broadly updated. For those who can't ICly read, we've also had a device on the board for a while that reads out voice recordings of what's on it.

Lastly, all of these resources are and have always been open for characters to add to at their discretion! Nearly all info and spec on them is IC, and any purely OOC notes are marked as such. We've been working with Aather tags to track down info/happenings/dates for things and have added in all the plot information that's ever been publicly available to our characters as a group -- but there is a 100% probability we will have missed things, or that you've encountered a plot tidbit with your character that ours never did -- or, hell, even just that you've added library books that aren't on the catalogue yet (we didn't touch that part.)

All the linked docs are fully open to edit and add onto! If you want to add some info to any of them and help us bring them even more up to date, all we can say to you is PLEASE, PLEASE DO. ♥

Hi all! As some of you may know, Zen/Vesper's IC group of intrepid plot-pursuers, FLAMEDOOM TOFU (warning: may not actually be their name) is questing for an explore in the Dog's realm! This trip will take place over a period of several days beginning on Monday, November 17, with each character progressing individually through their run.

✦ The trip itself is limited to tofu members and 1 personal invitee each, for a maximum of 16. If this is applicable to you, click! ( here )

✦ However, if your character was not ICly invited, don't worry! I will also put up a dream post sometime between November 17th and 20th, no quest required; the Dog's thread there will have different content but related themes in individual runs, for characters who didn't do the explore only. Those doing the explore will be stirring things up! ♥ I'll ping abundantly on Plurk and probably notify people here when both excursions come around, so this is mostly heads up and clarification for those who are questing.

Hello, Aather! I bring to you a question about scheduling.

Basically: I'm considering running a game at some nebulous point in the future, but I'd be running it at some point in the afternoonish-region of EST, probably on a Thursday, because my schedule looks to be pretty fixed for the foreseeable future and we need some different timezone games.

So my question! First of all, who could potentially make it to an afternoonish EST game on a Thursday? And, if so, which time would be optimal for me to start it?

Option 1: 1pm EST

Option 2: 2pm EST

Option 3: 3pm EST

Option 4: some other time

I do not know exactly what this game would be (it would depend on how many people could even make it), but since I don't imagine a lot of people who work during this time would make it, I'd be trying to pair up teams ahead of time— if this works out, I'll do an announcement once I know the exact date and time, but I know I probably won't catch every team with this.

Hey all! I'm going to be doing a mix'n'match mini-event. Basically it's like a blind date but doesn't have to be romantic. So your character will be matched with another character and then be made to interact! Nero will be pushing people together and yelling at them to interact.

For everyone’s reference, here’s a more defined schedule of events leading up to the end of the Snow Queen plot!

DEC 18 (WEDNESDAY):
- Morgan will have a light social post to raise power in the early evening EST!
- Later night EST (~8:30 PM onwards), a post will go up for characters who want to take a trip away from Camelot -- they will be heading into the Icefields and starting their journey there. Again, if your character heads into the Icefields, it’s a one-way trip and they will be staying there ICly until Saturday.

DEC 19 (THURSDAY):
- In Camelot, Guinevere will do a post presenting options on what to do about the avalanche later evening EST, and starting preparations for whatever actions heroes choose to take!
- In the Icefields, this will mostly be a day of the journey continuing via some themed mingles people can engage whenever.

DEC 20 (FRIDAY):
- In Camelot, whatever the heroes have prepared will be put into effect; this will likely be all-day mingly stuff that people can also engage as they choose when they choose!
- In the Icefields, characters will hit the final location, be able to explore/interact with it some, and confront the Snow Queen! We’re splitting this into two timeslots to maximize availability for people; the Friday night timeslot will start around 8:30 PM EST.

DEC 21 (SATURDAY):
- The second timeslot for the final Icefields confrontation will be on Saturday morning, running from around 9 AM - 12 PM EST.
- The cumulative finale in Camelot will be on Saturday afternoon -- we’re angling for around 3-6 PM EST for the last heavy confrontation stuff, and then everything after that should be wrapup.

Questions etc. can go in this post.

With regards to how things are actually going to fall out ICly, I plan to just post the occasional "IN THE THEATRE . . ." post/practice/what have you where you can mingle around and pretend to play out various scenes. You can also just take your script and have your character out practicing lines here there and everywhere (for other peoples' amusement) in mingles, or find a scene you think would be fun to thread out and hit up the players that are involved in that scene . . . etc, etc.

Mostly it's just something to have fun with and is not terribly organized! When it gets closer to the time when we should have an official "performance" I'll help figure out what seems to be working best in terms of getting that done.

Again, of course, this is largely all for fun, so if there's anything you'd like to suggest or do or change or ask about, lemme know!

HEY GUYS A FOLLOW UP ON this plot planning post! JUST MAKING SURE EVERYONE'S ON BOARD WITH EVERYTHING. With the knowledge that the trauma game on the 12th has been cancelled/rescheduled/shenanigans and will remain so regardless of the date we pick, and ALSO the knowledge that corruption hearts are a week after the 27th and thus will come up very fast after the results of our attack if we pick that date, are we still 100% sure of our timing on this?

OKAY GUYS. It's been ten days and most of the new votes aren't recent, so it seems like people are more or less done voting in the plot poll! The mods have stated that any attack on the darkness is going to be player driven and, while this may not have been the best time for a lot of us OOCly, our characters wouldn't ICly forget that this was a thing! Considering that the plot meeting took place 3 IC days ago and that was supposed to be where the decision we were addressing with the vote took place, we should probably get cracking on OOCly planning this out. Here is my proposal:

1→ Handwave that the characters discussed and agreed on when the attack would be ICly at the meeting on day 259 and have been working with that goal in mind since then! You can say your character heard about it any way you like.

2→ Decide on a firm ooc date for the plot to take place now! It looks like the poll is leaning heavily towards "an IC week after the meeting" both oocly and icly, which at a 3/1 day ratio puts us at about July 12 for an attack. This would make the weekend of July 13 a great time for all this to go down! Let's make that our plan.***

3→ Decide what we're oocly planning to do as preparation before that plot happens! ASSUMING WE DO GO WITH "ON JULY 13," some things that was brought up heavily during the IC discussions that did occur were fortification and disguise. A couple of characters can do some planning/setup with relevant Personae either offscreen or onscreen over the week — then we can have a big but low-intensity preparatory post this coming weekend to facilitate a way to further fortify the Great Hall against anything that'd get in while the barriers were down and make sure stealthy recon could happen. I'm thinking "joint-Personae mass quest!" I believe the Personae who were going to be consulted on defense and stealth were Guinevere and Columbine, so whatever can be worked out with those Personae players and the mods would be good.

4→ Showcase what our characters are doing in preparation in general, especially if your character WOULD be doing things but it's all mostly offscreen at the moment (I'm in this boat!) In the mass quest post or in another post designed for that. For example, Josh and Mau's siege weapon lessons or bomb handling lessons for the list of people who donated to Shark's bomb making efforts and would have a continuing interest in that would go there! These could be handwaved and the post could just contain talking about those afterwards but some showcasing of it would be good.

5→ Clear up what our characters would want to be helping out with so we can build up to that icly or plot how characters would be interacting over it over the next week! It's probably okay to handwave how your character got roped into whatever you want them to be doing if we establish who and what by then — we can always say it was discussed at that IC meeting that got sort of left hanging OOCly, or put up on the bulletin board. I'm going to put a bunch of subheaders in this post for people to comment to indicating interest (like Josh and Mau did on their bulletin board signup, except OOC instead of IC) so we can get a start on that.

Please feel free to add more subheaders! Or propose a completely different plan! I'm adding a subheader to discuss why I'm dumb and this is all a bad idea just in case. None of my characters would ICly be leading the effort here and I'm OOCly on nothiatus and about to go take an exam as soon as this is posted, so I'm about as far from in charge of this as it's possible to be! LET THE IDEAS FLOW.

HEY GUYS as I just posted about ICly, some people are planning a thing! SHURI OAK WOULD BE PROUD.

This isn't an officially mod-sanctioned event or anything; your team is totally free to just not show up! Or we can handwave stuff if people want to be there but can't be. I am hoooooping to do this around Saturday the 25th at like idk 6 PM PST. Look guys I'm the most organized ever. Like character like player amirite.

I realize this is during the skillswap game! I am hoping this will give people something to play with alongside that and not be an interruption to it; mostly it's that this weekend is the best time for this unless I want to wait a month or more. Let me know if there are any concerns, though! I am kind of doing this on the fly because it IS just an IC thing for a few characters who have been discussing this for a while, not an "event" per se, and people are free to not participate all they want, whether that's an IC or OOC decision.

But I definitely do not want favors overly handwaved, and they'll be tracked here if you please.

Personae are also free to comment to the post once it is up, to make themselves available for heroes to bother.

The rules of the favor are like so:

1. It may be any shape or form a personae would give. If you want to blow a kiss at the hero of your choice, go for it (looking at you, Goldie).

2. It could be as difficult, or as easy to get as you'd like. But try to keep it reasonable-- players are questing for a hot springs, not for skill changes or anything like that. And this is really meant to have them get to know their personae options.

3. Heroes are allowed to get multiple favors, if they just can't decide which Personae they'd honestly ask.

4. ... Yes, you can ask Nimue for a favor too. But I'd like to discourage this to some degree. :B
