Aather Plot: What To Expect!

machiavellianiueHey everybody! This is just a quick rundown of how we expect the next two weeks to go down (up to Halloween weekend!) and what we hope to do with that, as well as being a place for you to ask questions!
The Story Thus Far
✿ Nothing much has happened thus far! We gave a pretty big buffer for plot so we could poke at it and do a buildup, but so far there's been just the one post with riddles & cubes.
✿ Several of the unlocks recently have been "wrong," gray and quiet and ominous.
✿ Some of the Personae have been acting weird and kind of vague~ when questioned about this. The answer you get? "It's coming"(Rokudou Mukuro is . . .) or "I'm not sure, something is off . . ." Nothing more solid than this really!
Timing
✿ The only solid time that we are really booking for "stuff is going down, you should probably be there if you can" is October 28th/29th/30th.
✿ In the time up to that, we are going to put up different small posts here and there to try and net smaller groups of people in different time zones/with different availabilities. These are not intended for full attendance, so if you miss one of these, that is actually fine/preferable; in order to try to give attention to and let plot stuff happen to all 108 characters (if interested) it is actually more ideal if you make a couple and miss a couple.
✿ This is not to say that if you really want to play in everything and are available for everything, you cannot! But more that no any one thing is going to be the major dealbreaker.
IC
✿ If you miss something that your character should have/would have liked to be around for specifically, you are not out of luck! We have bandied around a couple ideas such as standing temporary quests from various Personae, so there is always the option of "a Personae had me doing ____ for the last few hours, what the heck is going on?"
✿ If you need anything like this, either grab AJ or Zazzle if we're around, or put out a ping in the chan asking for a Personae player!
✿ For the most part you can also just have been sleeping or doing your thing. There really isn't a way to be involved in everything at all times, and nobody expects you to be!
OOC
✿ We will be keeping track of developments in some manner so that you can catch up easily! Since very little has happened thus far, we have not, but the plot doc will be updated accordingly this weekend. We have not completely decided on where/how or if we're going to recruit help for this, but there should be a resource for you to catch up on what's going on/summarize so you don't have to read ten million threads looking for the relevant bits.
✿ There are never any situations where you cannot arrange things to your comfort and satisfaction! World story and character agency are interesting and fun, but this is not meant to take over Aather or your life. You can participate however much or however little you like.
✿ We also have only a very sketchy idea of "what is going to happen," which is a big part of why we can't give more than a vague play-by-play. Basically nothing you can do is "wrong" or should seem pointless; we want to try to roll with everything that happens and unfold as a direct result of what the characters are ICly doing. Please feel free to alert us to anything your characters are doing so we can incorporate it!
✿ Keep calm and email the mods! We're always available for any questions, comments, or problems.
Overall, we want everyone to have fun, so the most important thing is that everyone is participating only as much as they want to and not feeling like there is any sort of obligation required. This is your game and you really really can do what you want! We are simply here to help spark creativity, keep things interesting, and terrorize the populace.
